Introducing the Albany Disability Squad

The Albany Disability Squad was formed during the spring of 2020 when a group of concerned families of students with disabilities began working to prevent cuts to Special Education programs in the Albany Unified School District. Our purpose is to advocate for the needs of students with disabilities in AUSD and to create a supportive community for their families.

To achieve our goals, we have created several work groups to focus on specific projects. The Disability Squad is led by a Steering Committee. We will hold elections for Steering Committee positions in the fall of every year. And you can join work groups at any time.
